What: Water Management for Smart Cities
Where & When: 15 February 2016 Jacaranda Hall, Habitat World, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi and 17 February 2016 at Centrum Hall, World Trade Centre, Mumbai.
Why: With rapid urbanization, cities face increasing challenges for water management, securing sustainable water and sanitation which are a pre-requisite for smart cities. The water cycle (production, distribution, consumption, and re-use of waste water) plays an integral part of the urban system. This conference aims to bring together stakeholders in water infrastructure management to discuss these challenges and develop a smart approach to deliver better system through a strong partnership between urban planners, water service providers, government agencies, regulators and other key stakeholders and meet the liveability objectives. International experiences for better managing the water resources will be shared with Municipal commissioners, water treatment and distribution companies, waste water management firms and key financial institutions attending the event. The event would connect municipal commissioners and mayors, heads of various departments from urban local bodies, senior city planners, and policy makers from over 500 Indian cities.
